My dad's birthday is on the 1st of January and usually we go for lunch with a few family members, he isn't one to pull crowd and he's always reminded us that family should come first and they should be your best friends. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of pictures, A LOT but I tried to select a few. Saw JayJay Okocha as well but I didn't get to take a close up picture so I took one from far like the Sasha one lol. My outfit really wasn't planned, something happened to my original outfit so I had to wear this but I don't think it looked so bad. It's definitely brighter than my usual cuz I usually think bright bottoms make me look bigger but maybe I'll ignore that for now... we'll see how that goes.

The White Wedding
Happy Valentines day!
I decided to blog pictures from the white wedding today because just like we do on valentines's day, their wedding day was a genuine celebration of their love and everyone in the room felt it. We had so much fun at the reception, I've never seen two people who love dancing more that this couple right here!! Thanks to all the people that showed up especially my friends!
There are a lot of pictures so you're gona need a snack or something, it was so hard to pick what pictures to upload cuz there were so many good ones!

Wedding Reception
So afte the court wedding we went for the reception in their family house and I was in love with the decor, it wasn't over the top but it was still very nice. Loved the idea of covering the place with leaves instead of an actual tent or canopy, especially cuz of all the daylight it let in. After all the eating and musical performances we danced till midnight and I had so much fun! I don't have a lot of pictures from the night time cuz we'd all rather dance than be in charge of the camera.

Court Wedding in Bafoussam
Over there their court wedding is as big as our white wedding in Lagos. The ceremony was really nice and the reception was even better, these people dance relentlessly like their limbs are made of rubber with a spring for a waist. In the area of dance, Nigerians clearly Could Not compete!!! We all learnt a bit of it and danced with them after minor tutorials on the dance floor but the energy and stamina they had couldn't be copied AT ALL, they go hard mehn. I don't have videos cuz we were all busy dancing and having silly competitions and just general foolishness to remember the camera really but it was so much fun, one of the nights I'd wish to relive... we didn't leave till 1am! :D #cameroonrockies
Will upload pictures from the reception later.
Loads of pictures after the cut.

Traditional Wedding in Douala

Cameroon :)
Went to Cameroon for the traditional & court wedding and it was really nice. The trip and the experience was lovely, meeting the in-laws and eating new food, I even got a chance to experience what their night life is like. I must say it's nothing like Lagos but it was really fun, they play a lot of Nigerian music in their clubs so it felt like home anyway.
The DJ kept giving a shout out to us as well lol. The food was real nice as well, they eat a lot of plantain and I love plantain of a regular so I was so excited to eat in in so many different ways! Unfortunately I lost the pictures I took of the food :(
I was happy that I got to pick up a little french here and there, still working on it tho.
The only con about the trip was the airline, Camair-Co. I'm talking 9 hour delays and waiting in the airport sometimes even more than 9 hours, we had to "set up camp" and crash off! Please take this as an airline review or something, they are actually THE ABSOLUTE WORST! Once they gave someone leftover food that was spoilt because they ran out of fresh food, and of course they didn't inform the passenger. Smh. In general Cameroonian people are really nice, some of them in the airport had a real stank attitude but I guess it's always a hard day at work *Shrug.
We went to Douala where they live and Bafoussam which is were our bride is from. It's like how most of us live in Lagos but are really from another state like I'm from Edo. It's nothing like the cities we have in Nigeria like Lagos, Abuja and the rest but I hear Yaounde (the capital) is much better.
So expect pictures from the airport, the wait, the road trip to Bafoussam and the wedding ceremony itself. My outfit wasn't anything fab but the scarf just added a little something to it, I love this scarf! This blog is really becoming more of a photo diary really but enjoy it all the same! :)
