Are You A Dress?
I went out the other day and someone asked where I got the dress I wore in my Casual Blue ootd post. Then I realized I missed an opportunity to follow-up on a post I did titled Are You A Jumpsuit?
It's all an illusion, there's no jumpsuit and there's no dress lol.
It's all an illusion, there's no jumpsuit and there's no dress lol.
Camisole : New Look
Trousers, skirt and silver sandals: Zara
I'm wearing the same silver sandals with both outfits, so I guess the only difference between both looks are the prints.
True to form, I added a little print to break up the monochrome look; with an aso-oke bag and a striped hat.
One must understand the power of accessories. I think aside from the way you put your outfit together, accessories really help you translate fashion into style. It sets you apart from everyone else and this picture is a clear example of that fact.
Click to see more pictures of these outfits, Are You A Jumpsuit? & Casual Blue.
So what do you think?
Which outfit is your fave and where would you wear it to?
Leave me an answer in the comments section!! x

"Sometimes we can get stuck seeking provision first, instead of seeking our Provider.
Sometimes we can get stuck seeking out approval or affirmation from people, instead of going to God first and experiencing His love.
Other times we'll see our value in our accomplishments instead of seeing that God created us with value, even before we ever did anything to deserve it.
Our value is built upon His love for us.
We can so easily sell out and miss our purpose by seeking other things before God's will in our lives. What is He doing? What is He saying? Jesus said He only did what He saw the Father doing - nothing more, nothing less. (John 5:19)
Are we seeking God's kingdom first? (Matt 6:33), Are we putting His purposes first before seeking out provision?
God will make sure our needs are met when we put His kingdom first."

Favourites Friday: Hair Oils
For my natural hair, I try to use as many natural hair products as possible, these include a wide range of oils. My usual oil mix consists of Coconut, Castor, Olive, Jojoba, Almond oils and Shea Butter. It might sound like a lot but this is what I use and it works for ME. These oils each have their star qualities that make them my go-to oils for my hair oil mix and I'll be sharing some of them with you in this post.
Coconut Oil: (My favourite) Great protectant for hair and skin. It's very penetrative and light weight, it softens and conditions my hair. It's also great for pre-wash conditioning, aka pre-poo. It also mimics Sebum but it's not as close as Jojoba oil.
Jamaican Black Castor Oil: THIS! Stimulates growth. Although it's quite thick, I mix it with other oils and it makes my hair soft.
Olive Oil: This oil is also penetrative and contains fatty acids and vitamin E which are great for healthier hair. It also moisturizes and is a great pre-poo oil as well.
Shea Butter: One of the first oils I started using, I used it for everything and I still include it in my oil mix today. It also makes my hair soft and it's great for sealing in moisture. It also contains sufficient SPF to protect your hair from UVS.
Jojoba Oil: This oil is great for your scalp because it's closest to the natural oils that our hair produces called Sebum. This means it is easily absorbed into your scalp and is great for treating numerous scalp issues.
Tea Tree Oil & Eucalyptus Oil: Both have anti bacterial and anti fungal properties. Eucalyptus promotes ceramide production so it increases elasticity as well. Tea Tree stimulates the scalp and this can also promote hair growth.
Almond Oil: This oil has a lot of fats that are great for fighting dry, brittle hair.
Oils I haven't used but would like to try are Argan oil, Grapeseed oil, Pomegranate seed oil, Avocado oil and a bunch of others but let me know, what are some of your favourite oils to use and why?
I don't claim to know all about the oils I've listed and I definitely haven't listed all their benefits either so it would pay you to do some of your own research as well and find out what works for you.
