"What is Unseen is Eternal"

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Hey guys! I know I didn't blog today but I thought I'd just leave you with a little something, I came across that today and thought I'd share. I went out with my husband and the canterbury clique yesterday and it was fun! I'm so tired! First time I've actually done anything for halloween and I didn't look to bad. I will do a proper post on it later but yh like I said it was fun, the most fun I've had on a night out in canterbury in a while cuz things always dull here like its almost like a curse. Maybe it's me cuz I don't go out often and when I do go out I pick shitty nights *shruggs* duno but last night was fun! (I've said that like 3 times now lol).

Speak soon. x

Tea, Studs & Spikes

Hey! Hope everyone had a great weekend mine was ok did a bit of work and play.

I went out with my canterbury husband Mirabel aka Mira Mico Mimi Mama etc lol and we took these pictures way before the weather became rubbish. We had a little posh english moment at the coffee shop with the tea, gisting about everything and reading magazines and all that... Good times!
One of my course mates asked me to be her stylist and help her shop for a new workwear wardrobe. She has never liked the business/corporate look on women but she's now accepted the fact that she'll need it after uni and asked me to help her. I was shocked because I've actually never done anything like that but she washed me and said she likes me style and all that so I decided to help her, no fee of course. Luckily for me my Elle magazine came with a pull out for workwear so that should help.

Btw... This post is photo heavy! :)

Felabration!

Fela Anikulapo-Kuti is a Legend. I don't even know where to start we all know how amazing his music is and how much he influenced Music today both in Africa and the rest of the world. Felabration is an annual festival that goes on for about a week in Lagos celebrating all things Fela. This year Asa performed and I absolutely LOVE her and her performance was amazing, it's obvious that she's loved by everyone!

I LOVE Mos Def (Yasiin Bey) as well and I cam across this video of him performing "Water No Get Enemy" on of Fela's popular hits. I loved the fact that one of my fave rappers went in on one of my fave Fela songs, he even spoke the pijin! Watch that video here  I never knew there was a shrine in Chicago they had the dancers as well, Fela was popular for his booty shaking dancers lol. I'd like to go there one day... After I've gone to the one in Lagos sha.
Hope you enjoyed the videos as much as I did!

Pink Friday

I'm not really a fan of pink, actually I think this might be the only pink thing I have in my closet... And it was thrifted! Haha! Well, it's Friday (insert Rebecca Black's annoying song here), and this is what I wore to lunch with Mirabel! (minus the heels) Hope you like.

The Print and Colour Lover contd.

Picking up from where I left off last time, right now I'm in the process of researching inspiration for prints to be included in my portfolio.
Basically just finding a focus and showing my thought process and manipulation a on this particular thing till I arrive at something suitable or something I think represents me and my brand and is worthy to be included into the portfolio. Then I will continue to brain storm, create designs and apply them both to produce a master piece, BGG.
Yes I must say BGG after everything because I believe in working in faith and besides, if I want to achieve any feat in this world, it is not by my power but by the Spirit of The Lord! "Girl you better preach! Mhmm!". Lol

Random Updates : New book & New Music

When I finished Redeeming  Love and gave my mum amazing feed back, she handed me yet another book! A Lineage of Grace by Francine Rivers as well. I can already tell I'm going to love the book because she's such an amazing writer, she takes bible stories and brings them to (modern) life.
Five unlikely women who changed eternity, five women whom God chose.

I'm quite a slow reader but I'll definitely do another review on it when I'm through. I'm loving the fact that I've become a reader again cuz I stopped for a while.

Another new new that I'm loving in terms of music is Shakka google the dude! I'm just gona leave you with the 1st song of his that I heard and fell in love with and he's quite cute too!! It was a youtubers background music, I think it was lizlizlive (you should check her out). Enjoy.

Preppy Chic

Here it is! I wore it to school and got quite a few compliments, I was shocked cuz I didn't think it was all that but maybe it's cuz people hardly see me dress up so many times in a week but I must try to keep this blog alive some way some how!

Negativity

OOTD post coming up, Preppy Chic?
I'm horrible when it comes to coming up with names, I need to work on that.
So do you go to church? if you don't and you'd like to (because it important that you do), click here.
That link will take you to Daystar Nigeria's online live streaming site.
I watch this every sunday, when internet allows me if not I just watch one of the already recorded messages listed there.
Today's service was about negativity, please continue to read more. I believe it will be very helpful and encouraging for anyone reading this.

The Print and Colour Lover

Well, from the description of the blog it's obvious that I'm an aspiring designer and bla bla bla
However, one thing that I'd like my brand to be known for is its original vibrant prints and colours because growing up surrounded by the different fabrics we have in Nigeria you can sort of understand where this love for colours and prints comes from. Most African designers these days incorporate a lot of prints into their garments and designs but like I said you can't really blame us, I'd simply like to say it is who we are as Africans although there are some designers who aren't included in my little theory/fun fact.

New Shoes!

This is a post with many firsts!
This day was the first day I met Mirabel's mum and had lunch with her!
This was also the first day I went to the tk maxx in my area and the VERY FIRST TIME I found things I liked!!!
When I saw these shoes I knew I had to have them, Mirabel and her mum must have thought I was loosing it... Even the staff were giving me funny looks but I love them! I don't really wear heels a lot but I'm trying to improve on that.
So the first pair are patent snake skin stiletto pumps... Ooooo guuurl chiiild (pats weave) these shoes are HOT! See for yourself

The next pair are also from dune but these are kitten heel (screeeeams!). So comfy! And I think they are in this season after seeing the Valentino studded one, I had to get these! And they are my fave colour, purple!

Book review: Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.

This book was originally my mum's and it's been passed around my family for a few years now, almost like an emblem. Well I read it this summer and fell in love with it and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a good Christian book on God's unfailing love for us, His children. Yes it is a Christian book but the story is very romantic, it's based on the story of Hosea in the Bible. If you aren't familiar with him the maybe you really should read the book, it's a great way to update yourself on the story of Hosea while learning a valuable lesson on God's love. Find the description and my personal thoughts on the book after the cut.

The Chameleon Blogger

This cannot possibly be healthy. Do you know how many blogs I've had in my lifetime?
There was African Vintage with my friend Vanessa, then I started a tumblr, gidigirl.tumblr.com which I still have. Then I started Eki Said It and later on went over to Ore Meji with my friend Tiwa. Now there's Ima by Eki... Here's hoping the 5th time's the charm or however that thing is said.
I am a blogger I love to blog but I guess I'm what you call a chameleon blogger! Lol ( yes I just made that up I've never heard of it before but it just seems appropriate).
So here's a little about me, 5th time around!
I kind of decided to change the name of this blog to The Chameleon Blogger (after this post) cuz I thought it sounded cooler. Moving on...
