Bold
When I saw this jacket the first time I just knew I had to have it, when it went on sale with extra 20% off from Matches... It was MINE! The title explains it all, bold jacket and my usual bold hair. Some how I don't think I look nice with straight hair but I'm thinking of straightening my natural hair soon so I'll update you guys on that, also need to do a post on my updated washing routine which now includes Apple Cider Vinegar; the popular "ACV rinse". Enjoy the pictures! Thanks to miss Mico as usual. Love you girl!

Ask
Foodies unite to celebrate life! Haha!
My darling Sa'a came to visit so we took her out for dinner. We wanted to go to Picture House but it was too full and we didn't make reservations so we ended up eating at Ask, the usual Italian.Friday, 22 February 2013

Daddy's Birthday!
My dad's birthday is on the 1st of January and usually we go for lunch with a few family members, he isn't one to pull crowd and he's always reminded us that family should come first and they should be your best friends. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of pictures, A LOT but I tried to select a few. Saw JayJay Okocha as well but I didn't get to take a close up picture so I took one from far like the Sasha one lol. My outfit really wasn't planned, something happened to my original outfit so I had to wear this but I don't think it looked so bad. It's definitely brighter than my usual cuz I usually think bright bottoms make me look bigger but maybe I'll ignore that for now... we'll see how that goes.

Seek Right
I took this from the daily devotional written by Pastor E.A Adeboye, I was really touched by it and I hope you'll be too. Many times we loose sight of what's important and I pray that this will remind everyone what the one important thing is so we all stop chasing shadows. Amen.

SEEKRIGHT
Memory Verse: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these thing shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
Read: Matthew 6:31-33
Mat 6:31† Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32† (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33† But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
†
Message
When you are very happy, watch your actions or else you will become a victim of that happiness. The target of true followers of Christ is not just happiness but joy. Hence, the Lord in Matthew 6:33 says,
ìBut seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.î
and Paul by the Holy Ghost in Romans 14:17 defined the kingdom of God to encompass joy.
ìFor the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.î
If you chase after things, the best you can get is happiness. You can never find God when in pursuit of material things. If however you are pursuing God, not only will you find God and everlasting joy, you will also have material things you never struggled for. Which is better? To pursue things and have material blessings but lose God and Heaven, or to seek after God and have Him, joy, material things and eternity with Him in Heaven? What is your choice?
ìAnd they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.î
1 Corinthians 7:31
Another truth here is that those who are chasing things hold strongly to material things. They think they have a hold on things but the reality is that material things have taken them captive. It has become a stronghold in their lives. Of such, Jesus says in Mark 10:24:
ìAnd the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!î
In other words, they may feel that because they worked so hard for the money, they will need to justify every cent, penny or kobo they spend from it. It might get to a point where unknown to them, they begin to idolise or worship money. When you trust in your wealth saying in your heart that there is nothing to fear about sickness, hunger, lack, etc. your heart has left God. If you find it difficult to pay your tithe, give a generous offering or sow into God's kingdom, it is evidence that you are pursuing things and most probably serving them. Such people, irrespective of where they find themselves will almost worship people of means. They want to continue to amass wealth and be sure that their bank accounts are swelling. Anytime they suffer a loss, they lose their happiness. And if they suffer a major loss, they will want to kill themselves. Material things are a shadow. Stop chasing shadows because you can never catch one. Start to chase the real thing. Start to seek for God and how you can enlarge His Kingdom, and you will have beyond your bargain.
Key Point
There are things you will seek which will make you lose what's most important. Seek right!

Can I Talk To You - Peace Oseyenum
Hey everyone! When I started the blog I mentioned that I'd have a few contributors on the blog from time to time, so meet Peace! She's one of my good friends here in uni and she writes really well and I think everyone can relate to this particular one here. She's said she'll write how often she gets the chance to, we're all pretty busy with uni honestly but I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!
***
Fellas can I talk to you?
I think it needs to be said, guys STOP getting involved with females you have no intention of having a future with! If you're not ready to love her the way Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25-26) then don't get involved.
As a male you know when a female is emotionally attached you, and you know when you want to pursue a female... So why take the keys to heart if you know full well nothing will happen in the future?
I mean are you so insecure that you have to have a girl attached to you in order to feel good? Are you that empty that you need a girl to fill a void of a females emotional attachment to you knowing full well that no long term effects will come out of it?

B&W Prints
The only thing missing in these pictures is my afro... It would be the perfect look inspired by Solange. I've always wanted to try the print on print trend and when I saw both these pieces in Topshop I just had to try it. I'd definitely wear them both separately but what do you think of them together? Paired them with my Zara heels (gift from the lovely Mico :* ) for a pop of colour and vintage LV bag from my mum. I kept it really simple with jewelry I don't wear much of it these days but I'm sure that'll change pretty soon. Continue for more pictures.

Wedding Reception
So afte the court wedding we went for the reception in their family house and I was in love with the decor, it wasn't over the top but it was still very nice. Loved the idea of covering the place with leaves instead of an actual tent or canopy, especially cuz of all the daylight it let in. After all the eating and musical performances we danced till midnight and I had so much fun! I don't have a lot of pictures from the night time cuz we'd all rather dance than be in charge of the camera.

Carol's Daughter Review
When I went to Lagos I bought two products from the Amaila Hair Care stand at Le Petit Marché and both were from Carol's Daughter. I've always wanted to try their products but I just never got around to doing it cuz it's not easily accessible here. Anyhoo...
I got the Carol's Daughter Loc Butter
And the Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner
First thing I love about both products is the both smell reeeeeally nice esp the leave-in with the vanilla scent. Honestly I hate it when hair products smell bad, it might not do what it says and leave my hair looking a hot mess but at least let it make my hair smell nice, I can't have fugly hair that smells bad at the same damn time!!!

Court Wedding in Bafoussam
Over there their court wedding is as big as our white wedding in Lagos. The ceremony was really nice and the reception was even better, these people dance relentlessly like their limbs are made of rubber with a spring for a waist. In the area of dance, Nigerians clearly Could Not compete!!! We all learnt a bit of it and danced with them after minor tutorials on the dance floor but the energy and stamina they had couldn't be copied AT ALL, they go hard mehn. I don't have videos cuz we were all busy dancing and having silly competitions and just general foolishness to remember the camera really but it was so much fun, one of the nights I'd wish to relive... we didn't leave till 1am! :D #cameroonrockies
Will upload pictures from the reception later.
Loads of pictures after the cut.
