eBay Shop & Nails inc. Giveaway

Hey guys, just wanted to remind you about my eBay shop, I've started updating that so please check from time to time, you might find something you like.
I'm also thinking of hosting a giveaway for you guys, nothing big really just nail polish. Everyone knows I really love nail polish so I though that would be a good idea. I'll keep you posted on the dates and the rules so watch this space. I want to make it fun but I havent really come up with anything creative yet but if that fails me I guess I'll just have to be boring with it. I'm doing it to say thank you to all my lovely female readers, but do I really have male readers? Well guys if you read the blog comment below and let me know (that rhymed), I just might do a little something for you as well!

Cameroon :)

Went to Cameroon for the traditional & court wedding and it was really nice. The trip and the experience was lovely, meeting the in-laws and eating new food, I even got a chance to experience what their night life is like. I must say it's nothing like Lagos but it was really fun, they play a lot of Nigerian music in their clubs so it felt like home anyway.
The DJ kept giving a shout out to us as well lol. The food was real nice as well, they eat a lot of plantain and I love plantain of a regular so I was so excited to eat in in so many different ways! Unfortunately I lost the pictures I took of the food :(
I was happy that I got to pick up a little french here and there, still working on it tho.
The only con about the trip was the airline, Camair-Co. I'm talking 9 hour delays and waiting in the airport sometimes even more than 9 hours, we had to "set up camp" and crash off! Please take this as an airline review or something, they are actually THE ABSOLUTE WORST! Once they gave someone leftover food that was spoilt because they ran out of fresh food, and of course they didn't inform the passenger. Smh. In general Cameroonian people are really nice, some of them in the airport had a real stank attitude but I guess it's always a hard day at work *Shrug.
We went to Douala where they live and Bafoussam which is were our bride is from. It's like how most of us live in Lagos but are really from another state like I'm from Edo. It's nothing like the cities we have in Nigeria like Lagos, Abuja and the rest but I hear Yaounde (the capital) is much better.
So expect pictures from the airport, the wait, the road trip to Bafoussam and the wedding ceremony itself. My outfit wasn't anything fab but the scarf just added a little something to it, I love this scarf! This blog is really becoming more of a photo diary really but enjoy it all the same! :)

"There's no place like Home"

Who knows where I got the title from? ... yup you guessed it, Wizard of Oz!!!
My new red shoes remind me of Dorothy's red shoes in the movie so I just HAD to go all cheesy and make that the title... Had to, too easy! Lol
Jacket, top and necklace are from Zara (the sales were good) and the lovely shoes are Ferragamo.

Happy Birthday Miss Tee!

The 18th of January was the actual day but we went out on the 19th to celebrate one of my bestest friend's birthdays, Tayo! I don't want to make this post all emotional although I have the serious urge but Tayo if you read this you already know I love so much and I appreciate our friendship a lot. You've been there for me and I hope we continue to be the best of friends as time goes on, you really are someone special and you totally get me. The memories we've shared over the years, the nicknames we give each other and other people and even the foolishness we get up to (with those videos) make this friendship one in a million. I don't think we've ever fought or had any serious misunderstanding that made us stop talking, it's weird when I think about it but we just love each other too much and I'd never wanna fight with you Tayour!!! Never! Ok enough rambling... God bless you T and I pray He grants all your hearts desires too!

The restaurant we went to was such an amazing choice as well, everyone kept saying we were definitely coming back. It's called Dim T and it's in London Bridge somewhere (google is your friend). I think it's japanese but even if it's chinese or thai or whatever that place is the bomb.com, I even ordered take away! Lol. Beware, this post is heavy with pictures of food...

"Bye London"...

...Well not really, but that was my state of mind when the pictures were taken. Saw Chimamanda Adichie in the airport and had a star struck moment, couldn't even speak properly. Please forgive how razz I look in the picture I look with her I was too excited. Ate with Jemi as well but she's camera shy.

Throwback Thursday

I think this was taken back in 2010 or 2011 and my natural hair was about a year old. I love this scarf and you'll see it again in another post I have scheduled for next week.
It's the weekend soon!! Any plans? I'm not sure what I'm going to do but I might meet up with a friend I havent seen in like 2 years or if that doesn't work out I'll just get some work done.

Sparkle

My top is the reason for the title and it's one of my favorite knits. The pictures were taken before Lagos,  went for dinner with Maryam my Bahrain Beauty and Victoria my Maldovian princess. I went to town and took a few pictures of the christmas decorations there as well. Went to next and got up to some foolishness there too... Enjoy the post guys. x

Look of the day

Really love everything about this Dolce & Gabbana outfit that Scarlett Johansson wore at the opening night of the Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. It's something I would wear myself especially the earrings and the red lips, it's all in the detail. Black is simple but the hair, make up, accessories and the style of the top really glam up the outfit for me.

Happy New Year!!!

I've been a very bad girl and I know this! I've just been enjoying my holiday so much that I completely neglected the blog, so sorry! However I do have a lot of pictures to share as usual, it's just uploading them that takes a while but I'll do my best to be on it!
2012 was a good year, God continued to prove Himself strong for me and my family day in day out and I can't give him enough thanks, He's amazing! Once again if you don't have a relationship with the Lord... People! You need to get on it! It's a journey but it's worth every step.
People came and people left and I'm still on the fence about some others but c'est la vie, I'm getting used to it tbh (might do a separate post on that, still not sure on how personal a blog I want this to be).
I still appreciate those that are in my life and have been around for so long through it all both good and bad times, you lot are the best! Thank you to the little crowd that also remembers to visit my blog every now and then. I'm not the fashion blogger extraordinaire neither am I the best writer but I love blogging and I do my best to seem interesting even though I really am boring lol. I met a few of you in 2012, those who've followed from Ore Meji and also The Chameleon Blogger and just incase I didn't mention it when we met, it was lovely meeting everyone of you! I might have forgotten to say this because I can come off very shy at first lol. Thanks to my family as well... I adore and admire you all, you're my everything!
Till next time, I promise to be back asap.
