Friday Fashion on Fleek! : TCB X Trend.Ed

So the other day, a new clothing store called Trend.Ed (Trend Education) contacted me for a collaborative post and I thought why not!

I love clothes and I've been looking for something exciting for TCB (The Chameleon Blogger, just in case you didn't pick that up yet, I quite like the abbreviation, what so you think? Let me know in the comments below!)

I'd seen Trend.Ed on Instagram a few times (@trendedshop), so when they reached out to me it was a familiar name and I was excited to try something new.

The plan was to go for brunch, get to know more about the company, it's ethos and for the company to get to know a little more about me too. Then it was off to their shop in Tejuosho Shopping Complex with a N10,000 shopping voucher. They also have an online store at www.trend-ed.com

Initially, I thought I wouldn't find anything in my size (pear shaped girl) so I asked a few question about sizing because I know a few of my curvy ladies would want to know this. They assured me the sizes went up to a UK18 and they also offer an in-store adjustment service if needed.

And with this assurance, I WAS READY!

Mondays & Me: The Balancing Act

Hi guys!
Hope you didn't miss me too much.
I've been quite busy as usual and to be very honest, it's getting quite hard to juggle everything.
If any of you have any tips for balancing time, responsibilities and still finding the time to rest... Hola at your girl in the comments section!

Recently, it's been a roller coaster. How I feel is, I love my new job and what I'm doing but there are so many other external factors that play a part in the quality of work I put out while doing what I love. Office drama with a colleague, people getting fired and I'm afraid of losing my own job, having to take on more responsibilities with the ones I was already struggling with and striving to exceed expectations and have a healthy relationship with everyone else around me.

My mum always says this "know yourself no be curse", which simply means it's a blessing to know yourself and I totally agree. People go through life trying to 'find themselves' and are unable to make life decisions because they don't know themselves well enough to know what they want. But when you know yourself and truly understand yourself by yourself and not as a couple in a relationship or in life as a child sibling or parent, it's truly a blessing.

And I know myself. I know that I'm emotional, I can be shy and a little self-conscious sometimes but most of all... I'm a bit of an extremist. When I'm faced with something, I give it my all till I'm fully satisfied with what I've done. In some cases, it could be good and other times not so good. Being like this helps me do a good job to the best of my ability and I can be thorough with one thing but then other things might have to suffer because of that one good job. I hope this makes sense. If you can relate, how do you cope?

So that's two things I need feedback on. How do you cope with balancing responsibilities and finding time to rest and how do you deal with being an extremist (if you're one).

This post is dedicated to a recent commenter who left the comment below;

Initially (being the emotional person I am), I felt bad cuz I already know I'm doing a bad job here and putting my all into BN. But I'm sorry guys, I'll do better. Thanks for always checking back as well!
