A lot has happened so let’s catch up.
I started work at BellaNaija in March and it’s been great so far. Though challenging, I feel like I need that challenge to constantly keep me on my toes, my brain working and mind thinking. We all need challenges to grow, to test your strengths and improve yourself and honestly I feel like I’ve grown a lot since I’ve started this new job.
The experiences have been great, meeting new people and going to new places. I can be quite the introvert but at the same time I like to experience new things and get out of my comfort zone once in a while, then go back in when no one’s looking lol. I’ll share more of these experiences later on in other posts.
I’ve also had the chance to really experience the Lagos work life in a different way. I've worked at Xclamations in the past and although I was the youngest staff, I played a significant role.
Being the last of 4 children in a house with other adults and family members other than my siblings, I’ve learnt to always be respectful of my elders and they also respect me as a person too regardless of age. Working at BN is the first time (aside from school) that I’d be working so closely with people of the same age bracket as me and it has been an eye opener.
It’s a little similar to being back in secondary school in some ways but for the most part, it’s been so much fun to bond and relate with young minds like myself in so many different ways, finding common ground with various similarities we share. It’s been great.
In all honestly, there will always be that one thing, that one thorn in a bed of roses, the one crunch of sand against your teeth when you’re enjoying your sweet sweet garri.
But so far I’m coping with it all, if I couldn’t I wouldn’t be a Chameleon now, would I?
Have a great week guys!
This is something I've just thought of. I haven't had much time to take pictures so I thought I'd write instead and share pictures whenever I get the chance to.
If you have any, please share your thoughts in the comments section as usual.
