Do It Heartily

I've been really busy at work recently, I'm sure you can tell from my blogging. We're currently short-staffed so I had to step up and juggle even more responsibilities. I wasn't happy about it at first but with God's help I've pulled through, I just keep praying my boss hires someone capable soon.

As part of my morning routine, I listen to sermons online while doing mediocre reps of exercise. I say mediocre cuz it's a lot less than I should be doing but I'll keep going, at least I'm getting some exercise done. I watched one from Daystar recently and it's one of my faves till date, it's called Expressing Love in the Workplace, you'll find it there.
This message really touched me because I don't handle stress very well. I have a habit of being over stressed and complaining when I feel like I can't deal and I really shouldn't be grumbling cuz some people have it worse. I'm not the first and I certainly won't be the last to be stressed. So I should actually be thanking God! Besides, more responsibility gives me more opportunities to learn & shine. :)
I won't go on and on about what was said, but I beg you to please watch it for yourself. It's always better from the horse's mouth. However, I'll just put two of the Bible references here (from the video) and leave that with you. Let that simmer.

Colossians 3:22-24New International Version (NIV)
22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Ephesians 6:5-9New International Version (NIV)
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.
9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

I'll just leave these here so you can have a little think about it all and watch the video.
Have a great week ahead!
