Carol's Daughter Review

When I went to Lagos I bought two products from the Amaila Hair Care stand at Le Petit Marché and both were from Carol's Daughter. I've always wanted to try their products but I just never got around to doing it cuz it's not easily accessible here. Anyhoo...

I got the Carol's Daughter Loc Butter

And the Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner
First thing I love about both products is the both smell reeeeeally nice esp the leave-in with the vanilla scent. Honestly I hate it when hair products smell bad, it might not do what it says and leave my hair looking a hot mess but at least let it make my hair smell nice, I can't have fugly hair that smells bad at the same damn time!!!

The Loc Butter has both cocoa and shea butter (my all time fave) for moisture, beeswax for shape and hold and soybean oil for shine and honestly the butter does it ALL! I used it for my blow out that I had on in my Blue post and my hair came out  nice and soft, it felt moisturized and had a really nice shine to it but it wasn't at all oily. I'm in love with it and a little goes a long way so the product will last for a while, you don't need much to achieve a lot with it.
The Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner smells amaaaaaazing! It even makes me hungry honestly. It has aloe leave juice for easy detangling and moisture, pro-vitamin B5 and whet protein that both fortify/strengthen the hair. This product is really nice, it made my hair easy to work with in terms or detangling and drying, it ALSO made my hair smell amaaaaaazing!
Between both products I can definitely do without the leave-in conditioner because there are so many other products that can help with detangling and all but are less expensive. However I think the loc butter will be a staple for me now, I love it.
And finally in terms of pricing, I went to LPM with enough money thinking "mehn I'm going to buy a lot of things today", ended up spending most of my money on hair products kmt, so yes they are quite steep but I'd say the loc butter is worth it.
I might also do an updated version of my washing routine which includes an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse. Hope this was helping for anyone looking to buy these products. Don't forget my hair type is 4b/4c and what works for my hair might not work for yours. x

P.S: Don't forget to enter the nail polish giveaway, it ends on the 10th.
